There are range of areas to explore on Parkwood Springs through walking, running and cycling to visit the fantastic and vibrant different parts of the site. Here, we list ways that you can get active and get to experience all that is on offer across the country park.

Walking

You can explore the rich heritage of the site on foot. We regularly host walks from a range of groups to understand the history of Parkwood Spring and the value for local users. We have a range of runners of all abilities that enjoy using different areas of the site, from easy trail paths along from the Forest Garden, tough climbs up to the Viewpoint to doing loops of the grass pitch on the College Field. There is plenty that users and other local clubs can get access to. Races such as the schools cross country and Steel City Trail 10 are held regularly for people of ages to participate in.

We are in the process of creating a new parkrun on Parkwood Springs. For more details click here.
